I'm surprised I haven't done Deathnote fanart before this. I've always been a big fan of this series and its probably one of the few that I'll still like no matter how saturated it gets with the mainstream crowd.
Anyway, I steered away from the everyday montage-poster look that pretty much all Deathnote fanart looks like. (that or one of the characters sitting/standing around.) Everyone does it D: So, I tried something a little different and threw them in a rockband. I think I got sick of this picture like, 40% in. You can tell by some of the half-assed rendering 8B ps. Ryuuk loves his apple-patterned drum set. and yep X'D I think it definitly IS different from other DN fanarts
as for a sitenote: I think mainstream becomes mainstream for a reason. so..... most of the times I stick with it.
I mean there are some series that are now mainstream and I liked them since chapter 1.... so why not still like it? O.O One would miss most likely a good series? X'D
